Modular Lab Simulation Games

Game To Learn

Educational games are designed to teach a topic, reiforce skills, or promote critical thinking and problem solving.  By playing select games, students can learn about the food chain, memorize the periodic table, or perfect their multiplication skills.  They can gain an understanding of a historical event or culture, solve a complex math problem, or test scientific theories.  A recent study done in 2008 at the University of Central Florida showed that students playing educational video games during a 18-week period sugnificantly improved their math skills and comprehension and scored higher on district-wide benchmark exams.
